    Weekend

Good weekend. Sat went to Gainesville and saw my brand new nephew Patrick (my brother and sis in law) have asked me not to share his pics yet. I will be sharing them as soon as I can. Came home and watched the rest of Sanctuary and Universe. Today dad and my buddy John came over and we got some gaming in (modern and VSF) pics on armchairgeneral1.blogspot.com if you are interested in the minis.

Question regarding .DOC and .DOCx for OOXML versus ODF
Does anyone know of any file synch programs like groove and noma desk that do not run into compatibility issues with the ODF from .doc and OOXML from .docx?

    The Truth
Obama IS a fascist socialist Marxist in the same vein as Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Ho Chi Min, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, Ahmadinejad, Castro and Che and deserves nothing less than to be treated as a traitor to the United States Constitution! He is attacking free speech!

So what if Fox News doesn't like him.. So what? It's our GOD GIVEN RIGHT as Americans to not like the government. It's why the founding fathers wanted us to be a Republic just shy of an Anarchy. The government is always corrupt. Pigs watching over pork nothing more the whole lot of them.

Stand up and fight for the constitution which is most assuredly NOT a living document. Fight for your rights before they are gone. Fight communism here and fight against this administration. I have made my choice. Political correctness and liberalism is the path to communism. Obama is my enemy and whether or not you know it if you love freedom he is also yours.

    Under the Sea...
My daughter decided it would be fun to sink the bathroom by playing in the toilet.  She's only almost 4 years old.  At any rate the little adventure of hers is going to need to be repaired first.  We're taking door, door jam, part of the counter, etc.  Sebastian, Ariel, King Triton, and many others enjoyed their stay I assure you.

OK Obama is a Marxist Socalist
Ah redistribution of wealth.. Did you know that even those people in our economy that are considered "poor" are in the top 10% of the wealthiest people in the World? Should we then take their money to give to third world countries? It's only fair.  BTW, my flirting with the 'left' is done.  Call me Ishmal.  That kind of policy only leads to communism.

    P.O.R.K

There are some good things on here.  I do NOT believe that it is our job as citizens to give money to people that absolutely refuse to do for themselves so I feel strongly there should be provisions in this package that state those receiving aid must make a serious effort to get on their feet eventually.  I wish to help out those who cannot help themselves but even I know there's a good deal of pork in this bill.  That swamp mouse?  What was with that?!? I give Obama credit for at least speaking his mind but some of this really seems like Communist policy to me.

    Serenity AKA Firefly
We're going to be doing a Serenity Firefly game with me as the GM.  Has anyone else ran this system?  Any pointers or other ideas that you guys might have is more than welcome at this point.  I really liked the train episode when they had to rob the super fast bullet train.  I try to stick with the wild west theme of the series with the future tech stuff just on the outskirts - kind of like the Deathlands series by James Axer.  Good stuff!

    Once Again...
To my democrat friends, my congratulations.  To my republican friends, my condolences.  Once again the country is in the hands of the democrats whether this is going to be better than Bush or Clinton has yet to be seen.  Only the future will tell the outcome.  I think Bush did some good in the White House, and I think he did some downright naughty.  I feel the same about Clinton, and I am not talking about extra-marital affairs.  I just hope our country remembers who she is through all of this.  Today is a historical day as we have a president elect who is black and I am happy to be an American for that alone.  As a supporter of freedom and a person against all forms of socialism I really hope that this isn't the end of the country where people have the right to bear arms and tell the government to go *** itself no matter what side is in charge.  Ok Obama, show us that change means change for the greater good of ALL people not just the politicians in Washington yes I mean you all in congress BOTH sides.

Mr President you have the country's eyes and ears and in many cases hearts, treat them as you would your family and be honest and kind to them.  I am tired of being lied to by politicans.  This time, let's get it right.

    VP Debate
Best Republican quote of the night

"Doggone it Joe, that just ain't so."

Best Democrat quote of the night

"That's the ultimate bridge to no-where"

Take both of them out of context and you have a very interesting debate...

Say what you want about the candidates (either side) one way or another Change is coming to Washington and the old guard is not pleased.

    Welcome to Miami
My job brings me everywhere.  This week I'm in Miami.  OK, technically I am in Deerfield Beach Florida, but that's Boca Raton which is basically Ft Lauderdale which is basically Miami.  Ergo, I am in Miami.  This job has been going really well and I am learning a lot.

Madi and Mel have adjusted to me traveling without too many problems.  Absence truly does make the heart grow stronger.  Speaking of hearts, our little Faelan has quite a strong one and we're looking forward to him arriving soon!  I'll post pictures when he's born.

To my friend going through hard times please take it easy and remember to concentrate on yourself at this time and not worry about dating.  Life is short - game hard!

I am grateful to my family for their support and love and I am grateful for my friends and job and country.

    Thank you,

John Clease the new GPS Acapelle
This I just HAD to post because my friend [info]funfairiegirl recently obtained a John Clease GPS. Now, I have fond memories of Monty Python many of which I still quote to this day. Some of my more memorable favorites are The Art of Not Being Seen, How to Pick A Proper Coffin, The Spanish Inquisition, The Perched Parrot, and the Trouble with Tories. One might recall a particularly silly skit called The Ministry of Silly Walks. Imagine a John Clease official Ministry GPS... I think it would sound something like thus:

Now then we begin with the standard silly rubberband walk and proceed immediately to the jump-a-round-turnabout sideways glance trot coming then into the full skip-a-doo turnabout swingtwist. Got it? :)

Happy Birthday to Trodgor in D Major
I was informed (thanks to the modern brilliance of livejournal postings) by a friend of mine who shall remain propernameless [info]speakerwiggin that apparently everyone's favorite beloved cartoon dragon (not the Lollypop nor Puff) has just turned 5 years old today. Will you all join me in singing happy birthday to this marvelous creation and give a warm thanks to Strongbad Emails over at Home Star Runner. I knew you would!

(looks around at the huddled peasants who seem desperate to escape this carton nightmare yet somehow manage to smile and carry a tune much like David Bowie under a slab of concrete)

Ready everyone? (looks to the badly drawn peasants)

    And...

    Happy birthday to you. (burninate)

    Happy birthday to you. (burinate)

Happy birthday dear Trogdor (burinate, burinate)

Happy bir-tha-day to you! (destroy Dungeonman)

    ...and many more (Consummate V's)

    Yah!

    ....End of File

    Check out his majesty )

Yep! Indy's back and he's bringing that young man from Transformers with him and Mary too! You know I haven't had such fandom since the last Batman or Serenity came out. I'm psyched! May 22nd is the release day which means that May is going to be a good month for me as I am also going to be a daddy of a lilttle boy that month too! :)
